BA Blacktop Ltd. is currently seeking an Experienced Project Manager  to join our team. 

This position's primary function is to be the senior on-site manager in charge of major project construction execution. The Experienced Project Manager coordinates plans and supervises field staff, subcontractors and craft activities for the entire project or projects.

They maintain liaison with other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment and inspections are in place to support the project schedule. The Experienced Project Manager updates and is responsible for the budget and the schedule of the project or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Proposal Manager with development of responses to RFEOI & RFP
  • Coordinate promotional material with Proposal Department
  • Validation of PM Budget
  • Creation of Sales Order
  • Review cost to date and update budget monthly
  • Conduct Budget review meetings with Construction Manager & Superintendent
  • Update CPSR monthly
  • Conduct Various Meetings (Design, PM, Utility, Environmental, etc)
  • Review and Approve Project Plans
  • Negotiate with Sub-contractors / Suppliers
  • Develop and update Project Schedule
  • Prepare Monthly Progress Reports
  • Oversee Project Quality Management System
  • Prepare Progress Draws
  • Coordinate CCO's with CM and Estimator
  • Approve invoices for integration
  • Assist with development of employees for future advancement
  • Confirm resources are available for project

The Project Coordinator assists the Project Manager in design and construction-related activities to aid in successful job completion while meeting safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Preplan and schedule project activities on a daily to weekly basis as required
  • Implement the project Quality Management System by acting as lead quality coordinator
  • Create a safe site and working environment by promoting safe working methods
  • Complete routine checklists during site walkthroughs
  • Assist the construction manager in day-to-day activities

The candidate will also possess superior leadership skills, demonstrate solid oral and written communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the Company Safety Program. The candidate will also be responsible for the administration and scheduling of day to day operations, all aspects of quality control, while working cooperatively with other Superintendents. Further, the candidate will be responsible for the financial results of the project, which includes keeping the project budget up to date.

Requirements:

Successful candidates will have experience on project valued at $5M or higher.

Minimum 5 years’ Experience.

Applicants must have experience as a Foreman in Road Construction with proficient knowledge in the discipline of Asphalt Paving.

The candidate will possess strong leadership skills, oral and written communication skills and day to day organizational skills.

The successful candidate will be an active leader in the Company Health & Safety Program, and will be responsible for scheduling day to day operations, and all aspects of quality control, while working cooperatively with crew and Superintendents. Further, the candidate will be responsible to monitor production results, material consumption and efficiency of the jobs.

Essential Qualifications

  • A strong and growing knowledge of paving/construction activities and processes;
  • Have a strong and growing knowledge of specifications (MoTI, MMCD, local government specifications);

The IT Technician is responsible for supporting computer networking and telecommunication systems, including installing, configuring, and maintaining both physical and virtual computer servers, employee network, email, video, and wireless network services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains user accounts, email accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges, and security.
  • Troubleshoots network performance, server and data network issues and tracks the nature and resolution of those issues. Assist users with software issues as necessary.
  • Ensures network connectivity and optimal operation of all servers, workstations, telephone equipment, printers, and other network devices.
  • Monitors usage to ensure the security of data and access privileges and manages and ensures the effectiveness of security solutions.
  • Office 365 Management duties relating to SharePoint, Email, and Workflow/Forms implementation and security.
  • Performs regular server maintenance. 
  • Maintains mobile security and management of mobile devices including Android, iOS, and Windows mobile solutions.

BA Blacktop is currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Shop & Equipment team as an Equipment Coordinator. 

This intermediate-level role will include coordination of tasks in our shop & equipment department, but at the same time being hands-on in performing preparation request forms and order leasing for vehicles, besides spare parts purchase tasks for the shop. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in relation with the Equipment Manager, the Shop Foreman, and the Equipment Clerk to coordinate the following:
  1. VEHICLES:
  • Preparing renewal plan
  • Preparing Lease/Order requests for vehicles
  • Coordinating and keeping track of the assignment of company fuel card
  • Coordinating with external shops vehicles maintenance
