204 St Overpass
BA Blacktop Ltd. and Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. joint ventured (Langley Road and Bridge Ltd.) to design build this vital link in Langley's infrastructure. The $29.4M 204 St Overpass Project is a 12 span 420m long x 20.6m wide concrete girder bridge and intersecting road and utility construction. The bridge passes over Highway 10 (Provincial Highway), Logan Creek watercourse, CP Rail Mainline, Southern Rail Mainline and spur lines, and straddles a municipal road for 5 spans. The project also includes fibre optic line relocation, water main relocation, drainage and sanitary sewer works, street lighting and traffic signal improvements.
West Vancouver, Eyremont & Mathers

This
design / build project consisted of the reconstruction of two existing residential
collector roads in West Vancouver. Innovative construction procedures such
as cold–in–place recycling were employed which resulted in substantial cost

Milling / Profiling

Safety Grid assists the City's in–house paving crew by milling and reclaiming numerous local roads. This work often involves night and weekend shifts to avoid disrupting commuter traffic and Safety Grid uses their expert traffic control skills to get these jobs done safely.
Sechelt, Wharff Road Reconstruction
BA Blacktop Ltd. successfully completed the total reconstruction
of Wharff Road in Sechelt in December of 1998. The work consisted of new
storm and sanitary system, full excavation, curb and gutter, asphalt and
sidewalks and pathways through the marsh land park. The job had it's set
backs with the discovery of shell midden and was held up for over a month
while an archeologist dig was conducted on the site.

BA Blacktop did a complete reconstruction including storm line, curb and gutter, sidewalks, walking paths and asphalt paving.
Chilliwack
Urban Roads Project
The District of Chilliwack in 1998 embarked on a downtown revitalization of Yale Rd and called for the design/build of this important arterial road. The works involved the design and construction of unique pedestrian corner treatments with paving stones, benches and bus stops, installation of historic ornamental lighting, and extensive landscaping. All the works were completed on time with no traffic concerns or problems throughout the course of construction.
Burnaby, Hastings Street Reconstruction

This project consisted of the reconstruction of Hastings Street from Kootenay Street to Ellerslie Avenue including new pavement, curbs, sidewalk, landscaped boulevard strip and street lighting in dense commercial district.
