Fairview Terminal Port
The Prince Rupert Port Authority has awarded a $41.4 M civil and electrical construction contract to a BA Blacktop Ltd. / Pennecon Ltd. Joint Venture to convert the existing bulk handling facility into a container terminal. This is the largest contract for Phase 1 of the Fairview Container Terminal Project.
BA Blacktop is a North Vancouver heavy civil general construction contractor specializing in asphalt paving, milling, reclamation services and major transportation projects. The work includes preparing the site, replacing pavement and reconstructing the current facility to accommodate a container yard, rail trackage and gantry-moving cranes. The Project is scheduled to be completed in July 2007.
Vancouver Ports Centerm Base Reconstruction Project
This project is well under way and involves the container yard base reconstruction, installation of storm and water works, electrical installation, concrete rail construction, and the installation of specialized asphalt concrete.
DeltaportVancouver Port Corporation
BA constructed 8 km of concrete runways spanning 2 meters wide for this major container terminal. In addition to laying 120,000 Tonnes of asphalt, BA provided innovative recommendations and used extruded concrete to complete this impressive project.
Vancouver Wharves Berth 4 & 5 Redevelopment
BA constructed and paved the equilization basins, including the lock block wall, site grading and paving. In addition, the adjacent railroad grade was prepared.
B A Blacktop was the General Contractor on the reconstruction of Parking Lots # 3 & 4 at Capilano College. The work involved excavation and removal of existing structures and the expansion of the area including installation of new storm sewer, electrical, sidewalks, curb & gutter, paving and landscaping.

BA Blacktop has done numerous Transit Exchanges in cooperation with Translink (BC Transit), including Broadway & Renfrew, Phibbs Exchange, and the Kootenay Loop.
