BA Blacktop Ltd. was incorporated on 18 April 1956 under the laws of British Columbia and is a Limited Company operated by a group of active and working partners. The BA Blacktop Group of Companies (see individual Company Profiles) currently accounts for an annual volume of $60 to $70,000,000 with paving operations accounting for $20,000,000 and the balance made up of general contracts.

Senior Management personnel are active shareholders in the company that directly participate and contribute to the success of each and every project. Corporate Headquarters, a modern asphalt plant and recycling crushing operation are located in North Vancouver, BC. We also operate five additional modern asphalt plants with a full compliment of equipment and services in Sechelt, Powell River, Chilliwack, Squamish, and Prince Rupert, British Columbia.

B.A. Blacktop Ltd. has two wholly owned subsidiaries: SAFETY GRID PAVEMENTS LTD. and MARTENS ASPHALT LTD. These firms share a common base of management personnel and resources. Other divisions within BA Blacktop include Design Build services and Concrete services.

BA Blacktop has the staff, capabilities and expertise to provide the necessary skills to manage both small and large-scale projects. We have completed most of the major complex transportation projects in the Greater Vancouver Regional District. Projects that include the Trans Canada HOV Lanes, 200 St / Hwy 1 Interchange, 32 Ave / Hwy 99 Interchange, Centerm Container Port Facility, Delta Port Container Terminal, Vancouver International Airport South Runway, and Lions Gate Bridge Deck Resurfacing. We are currently general contractors, subcontractors or joint venture in additional high profile construction projects such as the Sea to Sky Highway, 204 St Overpass, and Prince Rupert Terminal Phase 1.
