Chilliwack Project Co-ordinator

Job Description

This position will require the individual to work closely with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent. The primary focus will be on the clerical aspects of the project field operations and the Quality Management Plan. Duties will include data collection, record keeping, meeting minute recording, internal and external audit participation and assisting in the coordinating of day to day tasks.

The successful applicant will be familiar with all aspects of the Microsoft Office Suite Software and in particular Excel, Word, Access and Microsoft Project.

Previous construction experience is an asset but not a necessity.

Job Description

  • Receive and Confirm information on Daily Time Sheets is complete and correct
  • Review, prepare and distribute project activities for invoicing
  • Prepare and maintain job cost analysis reports
  • Assist Superintendent with updating schedule on the job board
  • Coordinate and record Weekly Site Meetings
  • Assist field operations material requirements (Purchases and Rentals)
  • Maintain tools and supplies inventory the project
  • Assist with the organization of minor field activities:
    • Measurements
    • Subcontractor organization and monitoring
    • BC 1 Calls
  • Monthly Collection of Equipment Hours for on-site equipment and vehicles
  • Verify receipt of delivered materials
  • Confirm invoices with Purchase Orders

Paving Superintendent

Job Description

We are currently seeking a team oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to spearhead our Chilliwack operations as the Paving Superintendent.

Applicants must have substantial experience in Road Construction with extensive knowledge in the grading and paving aspects of the business. They also must possess superior leadership skills and demonstrate solid oral and written interpersonal communication skills as well as average computer skills with Microsoft Office software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, quality assurance and the administration of the day to day operations. As well, they will be involved in the Company Safety Program and will work cooperatively with our Superintendents in the Major Contracts and Design Build Projects.

Due to our expanded workload for the 2008 and 2009 seasons we are currently seeking Experienced Road Builders for positions on our paving, concrete and pipe laying crews.

Workers with experience operating paving and grading equipment or labouring on paving and grading crews are required for all of our plant locations in Vancouver, Chilliwack, Squamish and the Sunshine Coast.

We also require experienced Curb & Gutter concrete finishers and workers for our crews in North Vancouver and Chilliwack.
